What PHPRunner does
PHPRunner is Xlinesoft's low-code web application builder. It provides data-entry and editing pages, searchable records, reports, charts, dashboards, authentication and user/group permissions. Developers can extend application behavior with events and custom code.
Typical projects include internal database applications, administrative interfaces and customer or partner portals. The application must be configured for its actual users, data-access rules and business process. A tailored approval process or integration may require custom logic.
Supported databases and connection requirements
PHPRunner supports MySQL, MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft Access, IBM DB2, Informix, SQLite and ODBC-compatible databases.
- Database connectivity depends on the appropriate drivers, server extensions, credentials and network access.
- Applications using Microsoft Access require a Windows-based web server.
- Working with multiple database connections in one project is an Enterprise Edition feature.
See database connection instructions and system requirements before choosing a deployment environment.
Development and deployment
The PHPRunner development application is available for Windows, macOS and Linux. End users access the resulting web application in a browser. The development environment and the production web server have different requirements.
Applications can be deployed on the customer's own web server. The documented server options include Apache and Microsoft IIS, with a compatible PHP runtime and database-specific extensions. A built-in web server is available for local testing.
Hosting, database administration, backups, runtime updates and correct access-control configuration remain part of operating the application. A product feature alone does not establish regulatory compliance.

Product scope

ASPRunner.NET is a separate Xlinesoft product with its own requirements. Check its official overview rather than assuming all PHPRunner requirements apply to it.
