Executes an SQL query using the current active connection.

 

Use with SQL Queries that do not return data.

Syntax

DB::Exec($SQL)

Arguments

$SQL

an SQL query.

Return value

true if executed successfully;

 

false in all other cases.

Example

DB::Exec("insert into orders (Name, Amount, OrderDate) values ('Jonh Smith', 128.12, CURDATE())");
