Rob, Daniel and Katelyn represent Livelink, a family owned web development company located in Queensland, Australia

We are a small home based family business and have been building websites since 1989. My background is commercial photography. We tried to avoid database work like the plague and eventually tried PHP Maker and DBQuicksite which worked but were unintuitive. I tried a magazine demo of PHPRunner and didn't even read the instructions. Since then we've been quite happy to do PHP projects no matter how big.

The Aussie Biker site (www.aussiebiker.com.au) has about 10 main pages and a large number of 'hidden' pages including a shopping cart. This site took us about 3 or 4 months to design and build. If we didn't have PHPRunner we wouldn't have tackled it.

Aussiebiker used to be a static site but it grew over 10 years and became a nightmare to manage. We suggested a CMS site to our client but nothing existed that handled everything the client needed so we started from scratch using PHPRunner. The only pages not updatable are those with permanent content like forms. Bookings are made online and deposits paid. Our client can also manage bookings etc while he is 'on the road' anywhere in Australia.

We needed the assistance of the support team frequently as we were doing a large amount of customization and cross-referencing information from different tables. We would have been in trouble without Technical Support. They replied while I slept so I could start afresh in the morning. We aren't "programmers" and must have sounded stupid to support at times but they remained patient and were genuinely helpful.

I can't put a figure on how much PHPRunner saved us but it certainly made us some money and kept our client's happy. We are working on some more PHPRunner projects for a major Australian company 1200 km away from us, who supply vacuum cleaner parts and accessories to retailers.

We manage all our jobs and manage our clients with PHPRunner because we have team members working from different locations. After selecting a client we can instantly see what jobs we are doing and also keep track of hosting configuration and passwords. We have over 100 clients and zillions of passwords to track.

The biggest strength of PHPRunner is the ability to change virtually anything in a few minutes. Clients love that!
