Open Data Base
Connectivity is a system provided in Windows to allow a
range of different database applications to exchange data. Click on
My Computer - Control
Panel where you should find an icon named ODBC.
ASPRunner.NET allows
you to extract data from an ODBC Data Source Name (DSN). A DSN is
simply a convenient way of storing all of the datasource connect
information (file name, path, user I.D, connect password, database
type etc) under a simple name.
ASPRunner.NET comes
with instant support of Oracle, SQL server database, and a number
of file-based databases such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel,
FoxPro, Paradox, and Text files. If you want to use ASPRunner.NET
with database like MySQL or Informix, you have to install and
configure appropriate ODBC drivers for your database. See topic
Where can I download latest ODBC drivers? to find
appropriate ODBC driver for your database.
